Adzano  -  One World Your Home Adzano, is a family business operated by Michael, Jani and Mesha Zajac. It is the product of a dream much like anyone elses, of fame and fortune and the prospect of travel to exotic and romantic places. Where we search for art objects, decorative & ornamental items, home-wares and items of cultural and artistic merit to grace our lives and remind us of all thats noble and worthy and just how amazing and wonderful the world and everything in it, all is. Well, after more than decade in the business we havent made as much money as we had hoped or become that famous but we do travel to exciting and exotic places and do find the most extraordinary products to sell in our retail outlet; encompassing everything from stone sculptures to coconut & wooden teaspoons. We design fine furniture, which is detailed and finished here in New Zealand and have become expert in all that we do. We now have a large mail-list and core following of around 2,000 people. Every piece chosen for Adzano has to possess at the very least integrity and charm i.e. it must be true to the material in which it is made, Faithful to idea that gave it birth and well crafted. Jani (Jane) began her career in the zoology department at the University of Canterbury. She subsequently opened a fashion store in Christchurch, later developing several fashion labels and owning a number fashion boutiques in and about Auckland.   Jani loves to travel and frequently enjoyed visiting India, China and Hong Kong sourcing fabrics. She is a gifted gardener, green thumbs and all, an extraordinary cook, enjoys entertaining, thrives on good company, adores her friends.   Jani has great people skills, an enormous talent for interior lay-outs & display and a discerning and tasteful eye when buying product. She is a great organizer, an astute businesswoman and generally runs the show. Michael misspent his youth largely in pursuit of a BA in English, a degree in Fine Arts and the title of Canterbury Chess Champion. His career in Advertising spanned 15 years, during which he has been at one time or another, a Senior Copywriter, Art Director and Creative Director. He has been honoured with several national and international awards for his creativity.   He writes, paints, plonks away on a classical guitar, designs all manner of things including furniture, enjoys working with his hands, and is never more happy than when he is making and building things.   Though a chess player he enjoys most board games especially backgammon, loves science fiction, fishing, thoroughly enjoys Janis home cuisine, Italian wine and thinks Jani is, after so many years, still the most extraordinary and beautiful women he has ever met.   Michael runs the workshop / warehouse, designs most of Adzanos furniture and customer orders and does all the detailing and finishing work. He provides Adzanos graphics and does most of the creative computer work. Mesha (Michele) much like her father is multi-talented. She is a painter, sculptor, potter and extraordinarily gifted at display. An avid believer in conservation and natural medicines she tries to save the planet every day from unthinking, uncaring and apathetic people. Mesha enjoys yoga and regularly practices Tai chi. She has two horses a fiance and loves the great outdoors.   Mesha also designs furniture, generally manages the shop, does all of the displays most of the time and when shes not doing that is found in the workshop revamping and painting handicraft and arranging new collections for her displays.
